About Me:

I'm of East Indian origin born in Hong Kong.  I have sometimes wondered if there was any significance to that mix, if there was any “deeper meaning” to where we choose to be born.  Imagine, in what was the British colony of Hong Kong, a Hindu educated in Catholic schools and then later at work being the only Indian in a multinational corporation.  This created the feeling of being out of place everywhere I went.  Then I moved to Ontario, Canada and continued in a multi-cultural way of life.

From a young age I've had a curiosity about the “deeper meaning” behind it all.  This led me to look at things like astrology and palmistry.  My family and I would also often go to see any Guru who had come into town.  None of this seemed to provide any answers, nor did visiting the temple for practices and services during festivals (I was raised as a Hindu), especially since no one could explain any of it to me.  There was a lot of ritualism involved but there was never anyone to explain any of it to me.  Why were we doing what we were doing?  Why was it done the way it was?  What was the significance of it all?  This early curiosity was dampened but the yearning for something more never quite died.

In recent years I have attended and enjoyed satsangs.  That was the easy part, until coming to realise there is more … more than the enjoying, there is a need for “self-perfection”.  Not there yet, am hoping acknowledgement is a beginning.  U2's “Still haven't found what I'm looking for” used to resonate so deeply in me, now I figure I'm getting a little closer.
I've come to know I'm a “work in progress”.

For the past year I've been teaching myself to communicate.  I've come to learn that unless I can communicate in a manner where the listener can really hear me, then I'm not communicating I'm just taking turns speaking.  I'm at an age where I'm working at not struggling to change the world but to change how I see it and enjoy the view.

I'm a Reiki Master (in the Usui method), I've also worked a little bit with Tera Mai method and Crystal Reiki.  Although I don't practice reiki too much anymore, I still “play” with my crystals.  Other modalities I've worked with are the Learning Path Integrated Technique and Axiatonal Alignment.
